Avocado-Tomato Salsa

February 2, 2015 0 Comments

I have for you one of my favorite dips with chips and here’s why: It takes the guacamole and salsa and combines them into one! I always mix the two when they’re separate anyway, so why not make it as one dip to begin with?

This is not a fancy, too-many-ingredients-to-count salsa, but I think that’s why I keep coming back to it. It’s simple, quick, and still packs tons of flavor. I love it paired with salty, white corn tortilla chips whose crunch is perfect with the creaminess of the avocado.

I recommend using the freshest ingredients you can get because this dip really is as good as what you put in it. After that, the final flavor touches are up to you and that’s the great thing about making your own salsa. For me, I love it a bit more tangy, spicy and with enough salt to bring out all the different fresh flavors of the ingredients.

Have it for lunch, have it as a snack, or have it as a side with your next meal and enjoy all the tangy, creamy goodness it has to offer.

Avocado-Tomato Salsa
4 Servings

2 Avocados, cubed
1 medium Tomato, finely chopped
1/2 cup Cilantro, chopped
2 stalks Green Onion, chopped
1/4 cup Lemon Juice
1 Jalapeño, minced (optional)
1 clove Garlic, minced
Sea Salt to taste

Prepare all the ingredients above and stir everything together, mashing up the avocado a bit. Salt to taste and enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips.
